Looking for a Captain position
USCG 100-Ton Master Captain (Sail Auxiliary & Towing endorsements) and PADI Divemaster with over 30 years of experience living, sailing, and operating maritime businesses throughout the Caribbean, Southern California, and Hawaii. Most recently Vessel Captain / Operational Manager for a 40-ft catamaran day-charter operation in St. Thomas & St. John (April 2025 – July 2026), living aboard full-time as sole captain — responsible for the vessel around the clock: guest operations, provisioning, compliance and inspections, and all routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Before that, captain (1099) aboard "Oui Cheri," a 52-ft Lagoon Catamaran the USVI & BVI, and two decades of yacht management and offshore fishing operations in San Diego.
I take pride in caring for a vessel as if she were my own — mechanically self-sufficient (deep hands-on engine, electrical, outbords,etc., safety- and compliance-first, and easy-going with owners, families, and guests. Looking for a long-term position with a private owner or quality day operation where that standard is valued.
