Reliable skipper/mate, professional depth freediver. Worldwide.
33 years old. Started sailing when I was 10.
Arround 50k NM ocean experience, 20k as a skipper. 2 Atlantic crossings, 2 Pacific crossings(E to W and W to E). Years of inland sailing background. Professional depth freediver(100+meters), scuba divemaster, ocean lover.
I am experienced in all aspects of sailing and maneuvering, passage planing and boat systems maintenance on various sailboats up to 64ft(80ft as a crew) as well as powerful speedboats up to 45ft.
I am a positive, peaceful and very calm person, disciplined as a sailor. I have a technical mind and Im good with tools.
My priorities on board are safety, wellbeing of the crew and of course guests/owners satisfaction.
I highly value good seamanship, positive attitude and a sense of shared responsibility among the crew that I work with.
Apart from sailing, my second profession is freediving.
Im a professional depth freediver, member of the national team, professional safety diver and an instructor of that wonderful activity. I used to work as a manager, safety diver and an instructor in two different top level freediving centers where we organized numerous competitions including the World Championships.
Apart from safety in the competitive freediving scene I was also working with BBC television conducting risk assessment and mitigating risks as a safety diver during filming of the marine wildlife.
Im looking for a permanent position as a skipper or mate, alternatively deckhand/engineer on the boats that are actively sailing. Worldwide, but with preference given to the South Pacific.
Im also open for any other offers that are involving beeing at the sea, no "marina boats", such as deliveries, marine wildlife expeditions or research programes.
