Ocean lover with a dream to sail

I live in the SF bay area, though in *normal times* I spend a fair amount of time on the pacific coast of Mexico as well. I work as an RN with a flexible schedule. I am looking for some type of tropical sailing adventure for 2021-2022. I love the ocean and plan most of my free time around being in or on the water. I have no formal experience but I used to sail with friends and family as a kid on Lake Tahoe and occasionally since on the SF bay. I spent two weeks on SV Strikhedonia from Mazatlan to Loreto Spring of 2019 and I loved it. Full disclosure: I also had my first experience with sea-sickness on that trip which was miserable, but I pushed through and completed my night-watch duties etc. and it eventually subsided.
I am very relaxed, a lover of nature, quiet time, and anything in the water (surfing, snorkeling, swimming, boating, rafting, cliff jumping! etc). I am well traveled, love adventure, adaptable, QUIET. I don’t drink alcohol. I have limited cooking skills but am happy to clean and love doing dishes! I make a great cup of tea. I am pretty decent at managing emergencies, at least of the medical variety. I didn’t grow up playing board / card games...but I can be convinced to give it a go occasionally. More often you will find me with my head in a book :). I love to immerse myself in local culture and am not so keen to just stick with the other tourists. When I have traveled somewhere I want to leave feeling like I really got to know the place and the people.

Cruising from Mazatlan to Puerto Escondido
Ari crewed on Strikhedonia for our crossing to the Baja and then up the Baja coast the spring of 2019. She was a great addition to the boat, helping out with boat projects and enjoying being on/in the water. I was comfortable whenever she was at the helm (including a solo overnight watch).
