Since 2013 started training for a change in career, first following coastal and offshore sailing courses between La Spezia and Elba island then moving to La Spezia and acquiring the Italian sailing license at the end of 2013. Learned about boat works with a good knowledge of products and materials for boat upkeep or restoration of modern and classic/historical yachts with a special interest for electronics. Completed the first West - East Atlantic crossing on a 36' sloop in July 2016 then started to skipper and crew deliveries or owner's cruises, including a 4 months trip in Argentina, Falklands Islands and Antarctica and topping 55K Nm sailed in 2022. Made extensive experience sailing in gale and storm force winds and inclement weather developing a special interest for weather forecasting and passage planning.
