Life Experienced, World Traveler,Educated, Open to New Experiences

I am an experienced crew,diver,masseuse,
photographer,fitness coach,dancer,teacher, wanderlust.
Still living and working on Catalina Island, Ca. If your near by and doing some day sails please contact me. Eventually I'll want to sail away but at the moment I'm content on Catalina Island, USA.
Crewing.... I will take instruction well and happily learn the way the captain of the vessel likes things done in keeping the ship in tip/top shape. I am clean and well organized.
Educated with a sense of humor mostly in regards to life's little ups and downs. I am an active individual, hiking, biking, kayaking and dancing are all things I enjoy. When at anchor I like to explore and meet new people off the boat.
PS... I am not looking to live out the rest of my life on a boat in a full time mate position.

Q: What’s your favourite boating experience? At times its the thrill of a rough ride and a good story to tell afterwards. Other times its the relaxed feel the beauty of peace and clear water. My most memorable is yelling "Land Ho" after my first Pacific crossing. Always wanted to do that. I stayed up all night watching and then in the early morning a volcanic peak pierced through a cloud nearly 40 miles away. After 28 days on a rough sea it's like finding true religion.

Q: What’s your worst boating experience? Again I have so many. I have traveled thousands of sea miles in all weather conditions. Probably weather wise it was 70 knots of wind with thunder and lighting strikes crossing the pacific on the way to Gambia. Captain wise it was the sail to American Somoa. Boat wise it was sailing to Fakarava. Crew wise it was going through the Panama Canal. Dingy wise it was the dingy from hell in Tahiti belonging to the SV I was boat sitting for several months.

Q: How long have you been boating and what made you start? Crewing over 9 hyears. A boring job started the itch. I always wanted to crew on boats. So I sold everything put the rest in storage signed up to all the crew sites and kept an open mind. It's not always easy but it is always an adventure.

Q: What are your sailing ambitions? What’s the next challenge? To live aboard a lively and interesting boat. To enjoy everyday with others through an exchange of interest both common and different.

Q: Where’s your favourite boating destination? I love remote tropical lagoons and being the only sailboat anchored off a white sand beach. Actually in Patagonia we were very often the only boat tucked into a Caletta. No sand but beautiful mountainous scenery all to ourselves. .

Q: What is your favourite boat and why? I like an active, artful, adventurous boat with a skilled and thoughtful captain. I have been on everything from poor man sailing vessels to rich man mega yachts what I find is it's not the boat but the captain and crew that makes life on board pleasant. Granted the mega yacht sure was beautiful but at the end of the day it's the time you shared and the memories you carry away that make the voyage and ship special. Far and away Captain Mic's beautiful Mega Yacht in Australia. The boat was beautiful and the adventure even more so. I love Australia. Love the accent love the people.

Q: What is the longest passage you’ve completed without stops? 28 days at sea and a close second 25 days at sea.

Q: What’s your funniest experience? The funniest because it was the fun-est. I was driving the dingy and we had a huge pond of dolphins surround us jumping, slashing, diving and even rolling on their backs to look right at us. This lasted for an hour as I made circles in a small lagoon in Patagonia . Really fantastic.

Q: What is it about being on the water that makes you tick? Looking across the blue sea blending into sky. The feel of the sea, the life and unpredictability of it all. Adventure and moments that can never be repeated.

Q: Gin and Tonic in a beautiful anchorage or trimming the sails to get an extra half knot? I'll take the G&T and a beautiful anchorage after a hard day of work and play.
