Free to Travel About - Novice Crew, Mile building preferably anywhere Caribbean or Cortez
Hello All,
I am 62yo recently retired with desire to find opportunities to be on the water. Took sailing lessons ASA 101 and 103 by a couple of nice gals in Kemah, TX, albeit over twenty years ago. Seeking captain willing share his/her knowledge so that I may gain real world experience sailing offshore. I understand that a good deal of sailing is also boat maintenance and upkeep. I am not timid when it comes to working with my hands, willing to tackle most any job. If I don't know how to do something I will most defiantly ask. Not pretending to know anything about sailboats and seek real world advice from those that do. (can take direction when requested/instructed) Oh and did I mention that I can cook a little also? I can clean even better...
I possess a wide variety of life skills from fixing/tinkering 4x4's, motorcycles, tractors and their associated equipment to major home repair by my flipping a few houses and everything in between. My primary career was in IT, electronics, infrastructure, and the administration thereof. Very familiar with hand and power tools.
So with my wife's blessing, I now have the time and budget to Travel About the World for a while.
Thanks and hope to hear from you
