Skipper looking for work happy to be based anywhere in the world
I am currently working as a charter skipper based out of the Mediterranean, I’m working in a different location most weeks and on a different boat every week. As much as I enjoy the challenge I'd like to find more stable and long term work.
Having worked in the UK and in Greece, France, Italy, Holland, Canada and Abu Dhabi, I am flexible and happy working anywhere in the world.
I am an active person with a lifelong interest in participation sport. I enjoy company and am happy as a member or a leader of a group when teaching or training.
My twin passions in life have been to be on the water or in the mountains, in sailing I have competed to an international standard since my mid-teens and continue to do so on day boats. During my first year at University I won a place in the RYA National Keelboat academy, from where my crew earned full sponsorship for an Etchells campaign 2017 and 2018, my most recent notable results have been coming 3rd at the 2016 J70 nationals as main trimmer, 5th at the 2017 RS Elite National championships and 12th overall, 2nd Corinthian and first youth team at the 2017 Etchells European championships. I also compete in big mountain skiing whenever I have a chance, through that I gained an interest in mountaineering leading to my climb of Mt Chopicalqui which is 6354 meters high and the world's 3rd highest tropical mountain. I feel that I have accrued an interesting set of skills through my hobbies that translates incredibly well to working on yachts.
