Looking for a Deckhand, Competent Crew or Boat sitter position
Hi sailers around or in Australia. I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Deckhand or Competent crew.
I'm a 21 year old ordinary seaman with my eyes set on adventures around Australia or New Zealand, available from beginning of january and with an open schedule onwards. Im educated on the national Danish Trainingship vauage 106 across the Atlantic in 2019. I have all up to date STCW2010 certificates, navigational watchkeeping, hygiene course for seafarers, firefighting on board ships, welding certificate, certificate of proficiency for designated security duties.
On top of my education I have continued gaining sailing experince on board the danish schooner Linden, sailing with international guests on sustainable arctic safari at Svalbard. Currently I am working onboard a Danish expedition ship in West Papua, Indonesia. We work for a better understanding of the omnipresent plastic pollution and initiatives to battle it.
I work well in stressfull situation, I am used to sailing in all kinds of weather conditions and i thrive with action. Im skilled in all kinds of maintenance tasks and sail handling, aswell as cooking and cleaning.
In between sailing I enjoy skateboarding, snowboarding and out door life with amazing and creative people, a passion that has also brought me around the world. As a person im light hearted, easy-glimt and always find myself having a mor of fun and gaining new friendships through sailing.
Looking forward to see the oppertunities on this website, amd hopefully hear from you.
