Hello, I am Carsten, male, +40yy. I used to be an engineer in the job and an artist in my spare time. I was living in Switzerland, now I am travelling since October 2018.
I am an honest and reliable person as well as being a hands-on guy where- and whenever needed. I have a german sailing licence for inland waters and I recently took part in a one week sailing class at the German Ocean Sports Association (DHH) in Glücksburg at the Baltic Sea. I love to be close to the sea and want to build up my sailing knowledge on the job, to be able to become a fully adequate shipmate in various roles. At the moment I am preparing myself for the german sailing certificate SBF Sea (Charter/sail within 12nm zone of coast).
I have good technical skills in mechanics, optics and some electrics. Understanding and experience in customer service. Furthermore I can organize things well and focus on proplem solving when needed. New things of interest I pick up easily. I am a fit and sporty person with a good deal of communication skills.
I am looking for the possibility to be part of a crew of any size, where I can learn and adapt the works needed to be carried out on a ship and how to get all the necessary things done.
