able seaman looking for a transatlantic passage from Canary Islands
I am a French-Swiss-Spanish citizen, currently on a sabbatical and looking to do some mile-building with a transatlantic passage In November or December 2020, from Canary Islands to the Caribbean.
I acquired some navigational experience by graduating from the French Naval Academy in 2010 and spending a year aboard patrol ships in the Indian Ocean (based in Reunion Island). I spent 100+ nights at sea, my primary role being Officer of the Watch.
Before that, I've been sailing mainly with friends in the Med and around Brittany/English Channel.
As a student, I was responsible for 2 teams participanting to the Spi Dauphine regatta in 2008 and 2009, on 9.5m racing boats with a crew of 7, sponsored by BNP-Paribas.
I got my offshore sailing permit in 2010.
I am competent in navigational skills, watch keeping, able in areas like VHF comms or Safety at sea (and cooking!), and have fair knowledge in rigging and adjusting sails.
