Large Sailing Yacht Captain/Engineer - 18+ years
TREVOR DINEEN
(Yacht-master Ocean Commercial &
Engineer )
I am an experienced Captain and Engineer
with over 140,000nm and multiple
transatlantic crossings in all weather
conditions. I have sailed in both the North
and South Atlantic, South Africa, Australia,
North Pacific, Caribbean, Mediterranean,
North Sea, Irish Sea, East Coast of the UK
and the inland waterways of Belgium. I have
captained yachts up to 26m and worked as
crew and Chief Officer on sailing vessels up to
52m including monohulls and catamarans,
Alloy Yachts, Swan, Baltic and Oyster.
I am an active person who strives to be the best
along with bringing a positive team focused
vibe onboard. I have a good mechanical and
electrical background and am able to work
productively under pressure. I am passionate
and driven to be the best at everything I do,
along with having a natural easy going vibe
and sense of humour.
In 2025 I had my first son and to be present for him, I took on part-
time contract roles to be a support and to
have quality time with him. I am now in a
position to take on a full-time role as ether a
Captain or Engineer for 2026.
I am seeking a longterm position where I can build a solid
relationship with the ownership, management
company and onboard team.
