Crew of 3 looking for work Autumn onwards.
Hi, we are a group of three friends in our 30s who are looking for work from Autumn this year, with the hope of completing an Atlantic crossing before the season is out.
We are currently based in Lefkada, Greece and have a broad range of experience to offer. Alex is a skipper (RYA YachtMaster offshore) with three years professional experience in the area as well as a qualified RYA Instructor. He has sailed catamarans and yachts in Greece and slippered deliveries to Spain, Albania and various other spots throughout. He is currently studying the RYA YachtMaster Ocean syllabus and so is practicing celestial navigation and ocean passage planning. He has sailed a variety of boats in some awful weather so is prepared for all aspects of operating a vessel safely at sea. As a professional skipper he is a personable character. He’s observant with a keen eye for detail and excellent soft skills, regularly coaching and teaching clients to become better on the water and more confident in their sailing.
Iva is a base engineer for a company who solely operate catamarans and has 4 years experience in vessel maintenance. She is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the boats from its engines to deck fittings and rigging, to the water makers, auxiliary generators, refrigeration etc etc. She has a range of experience and is currently studying to be a surveyor. She has crewed for deliveries in the Mediterranean including watch keeping at night as well as sailing on her own boat.
Robbie is a professional skipper (RYA Coastal) currently working a season in the Ionian sailing alongside clients who feel they need some assistance on week long bareboat charters. When shore based he is training/studying basic engineering skills with the aim to complete AEC1 by the end of the year. He has sailed a variety of yachts and power boats in both skipper & crew positions. Having previously worked as a Paramedic he still has a keen interest in all things medical. Able to remain calm and methodical whilst dealing with any accidents or illnesses that may be presented to him along the way.
A yacht or catamaran can feel like a small space after a few weeks, especially with new people onboard and so it’s important you find a crew that work well together but also that fit with you and your personalities. Given we already know each other and have lived and worked together in the past then we know we can operate well as a team.
We are happy to take on deliveries ourselves or join you as crew if you need extra hands.
Please get InTouch if you have anything that we could be suited to.
Thanks.
