Captain/chief mate
After closing my past land-based business I'm looking for a new job in yachting industry, preferably long term or permanent. In recent years, I have split my time between running my own business ashore, training myself and serving as master or chief mate at sea. For this reason, I do not have a typical maritime career path.
My current experience is about 40,000 nautical miles. I worked temporary in various sailing agencies, clubs and schools, and on private yachts. I still cooperate with a number of them. Several times my cruises were done in the Atlantic Ocean.
The largest vessel I worked on (the position of chief officer) was 46.8 m/445 GT. Since 2006 I worked with the owner of the classic schooner Va Marie (LOA 43 m./162 GT.) as a rotational relief captain (intern) or chief officer (40 voyages). In 2018 and 2019, I cooperated with one of the British companies on several deliveries and shipyard works of CNB 66 yachts (moving, maintenance and refitting yachts including shipyard time after a season).
I really care about a longer contract that will allow me to get to know the yacht entrusted well, improve my skills and complete my seafaring practice for the next step of my career.
Please, don't hesitate to ask me questions.
