I am NOT looking for 'boat/sailing excursions' asking me to share contributions with the excuse of giving me 'THE ULTIMATE' mile building opportunity of my lifetime! Dohhh, I do not want that, thanks!!

Do not ask me to 'join' your beloved, 'state of the art' boat asking me to fork out a fee for a pre Competent Crew or Day Skipper courses or to build up 'confidence' prior an exam! (rolling eyes)
Neither do I want to build up hours to become a First Mate or a Captain! Not interested, BYE.

I will be willing to help as a deckhand, therefore do not ask me to share contributions with you for your cabin and marinas expenses, Insurance Damage Waiver, boat kitty to cover food on board, port fees and diesel, etc. Neither to share any deposits, be it refundable or non refundable.

Sending me a Whatsapp message with your phone number, ordering me to call/contact you, does not work with me!! You are not doing me a favour for the 'Opportunity' you are 'offering me''! So lame.

      Experience Type: Voluntary

    • Participating as a volunteer in an ongoing NGO boat restoration project called “All Hands On Deck”. The idea is to introduce young people in the world of sailing and boats while at the same time giving them the opportunity to gain life and vocational skills by conducting practical work on 'abandoned' boats with the ultimate goal to revive them to a usable state.

    • Date: 1st May 2022

      Duration: 25 days

      Experience Type: Mile building

    • A unique opportunity working on one of the last wooden historical Tall Ships, “S.V. Florette”, sailing in the Mediterranean. Working hard and learning new skills as a volunteer/ allrounder onboard the historical Tallship Florette, based in the south of Italy! She is the last survivor of her kind today and proudly represents our rich Mediterranean maritime history. Built by the famous Picchotti shipyard as massive Brigantine.She's today one of the last wooden-windjammers that still actively sail.

      Duration: 6 days

      Experience Type: Delivery

    • Giving an extra hand on a delivery trip of a privately owned Lagoon 50 from Valletta, Malta to Lavrion in Greece (510 Nautical Miles). Total crew on board of 3 including the skipper and myself. Boat: Lagoon 50 Catamaran "Andare Avanti" Miles: 510 Nm Crew: 3 including Skipper Location: Mediterranean Sea

    • Date: 1st August 2021

      Duration: 4 days

      Experience Type: Day work

    • Assisting a yacht owner with hands on maintenance, scraping of hull and applying anti fouling, organising equipment from the deck and cabins.

    • Date: 1st May 2021

      Duration: 7 days

    • RYA Competent Crew Course. Boat: Bavaria 44 Cruiser “Lookfar” Miles: 65 Nm Crew: 4 students including Skipper Location: Mediterranean Sea

I sailed with Jean from Malta to Greece on a Lagoon 50. Jean is building miles and certainly doing it with a great attitude and helpfulness. I enjoyed sharing the passage with Jean. He is great company, gentle man, reliable and punctual. I would be very happy is our paths cross again of a new passage.

Hired Jean to do a end of season delivery from Malta to Lavrion in Greece (510 nautical miles) on a lagoon 50 catamaran. He was willing to learn, takes good directions and a fast learner. He was a big help and i felt confident leaving him on his own on watch day or night. He is clean and tidy and willing to help out. I would definitely recommend Jean.
