Looking for a Mile building, Competent Crew, Delivery Crew or Boat sitter position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Mile building, Competent Crew, Delivery Crew or Boat sitter. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
Actually, I wouldn't say that I CAN sail, I never learned really how to sail, but I 've sailed a 55 ft sailing yacht from Croatia to Sweden. We were supposed to be 4-6 persons but due to covid lock downs it was just the two of us. It was non-stop sailing for 5-6 weeks. After this I bought my own old 42 foot sail boat to learn how to sail, Ive sailed in the Stockholm Archipelago and ofter to Åland and Finland this summer on my own. So, I can handle it but Ive so much more to learn.
Previously I've been helping a friend to take home motor yachts from Germany and UK to Sweden. Im looking for some sailing for this coming winter since I'm taking a year of from work.
I do night watch, navigation, radar etc. Don't like to speak in the VHF, but if I have to I have to...
I stay awake as long as I have to. I happy to do all that has to be done on a boat and happy to learn.
