[AUSTRALIA to INDONESIA on July/Aug 2023]
Hello there !
My name is Idir, I'm a 25yo French future sailor (hopefully? ). I'm currently traveling in Australia and looking for having a new adventure on a sailboat to reach Indonesia. I never had the chance to sail before but really determined to have my first experience here and learn as much as I can about sailing. I have always been fascinated by the ocean world and would love to discover a new way of travelling, avoiding taking airplanes. My next plan is to go for a long trip across South east Asia, starting from Indonesia, and sail whenever possible between lands.
I would consider myself as a curious, full of energy and insightfull person. I always like to explore new things while travelling and don't enjoy staying in my comfort zone. I speak fluently French, English and Spanish. I'm in great shape. I'm currently learning photography (and have a photo-audio documentary project). I enjoy settling nice athmosphers with people while playing guitar, singing, dancing or just playing games. And probably above all, I love cooking and sharing about world cuisines.
As an unexperienced crew member, I will bring my total contribution to the daily tasks onboard such as cooking and cleaning but also I'm willing to learn keeping watch, handling sail and other specific sailing tasks. And I'm ready to pay my share for this trip.
I will be in Darwin by the end of June, early July (and can eventually move to Queensland). I'm flexible on the departure date and open to suggestions.
