Looking for any awesome sailing opportunity
I’m Dennis, 40 years old and former IT engineer & entrepreneur who decided that is was time for a change in life and started to sail professionally. I’ve been sailing since I was 6 years old and turned this passion into my profession. I canceled my contracts and froze my companies and set myself the goal to become RYA Yachtmaster Offshore before turning 40.
So I started an 8 week fast-track on October 1st 2022 at Canary Sail on Tenerife and achieved just that. Since then I’m commercially endorsed, I have my STCW 95 and ENG1 and am studying to become RYA Cruising Instructor.
I own a Bavaria 38 Match which I sailed from Denmark to Holland in February 2023 and I’ll be sailing her to the Canaries and maybe the Caribbean of Med in the future. All of those adventures can be followed on s/v BAIA.
I’m also a fast rescue boat captain at SAR247 for large festivals in the Netherlands. Providing water safety on events like Defqon 1 and Dominator. In the past I was a voluntary firefighter so I know how to work in a team and I have a positive attitude (especially since no longer working in IT) and good work ethic.
I’m actively searching for any exciting sailing opportunities: deliveries, racing, chartering, teaching, crewing.
