Looking for a Novice Crew or Friendship position

Hi - I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Friendship, or possibly newbie Deckhand. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland - I don’t have to be anywhere or have a time limit and would just like to meet like minded people and sail for a short time or a long time … fingers crossed I meet people who would welcome me aboard to share their adventure!
I'm retired these days, but fit and very active - I'm not a princess who expects to be waited on.
Recently, back from Bali, I spent 4 months solo travelling through Europe last year. During that time. I spent some time cruising around the Fethihad area of Turkey on a skippered boat and again cruising from Dubrovnik up to Split.. both trips were pretty cool, but as a guest on board, I didn't do anything other than enjoy myself.
I have completed 5 trips now -- 1 Townsville to the Gold Coast, 2 Townsville to Airlie, 1 Airlie to the Goldie and 1 around the Whitsundays' - 3 catamarans (50' Saba Fountaine Pajot, 13m Oram 44C, 14m Lagoon 470) and a 13m Beneteau monohull.. I've also done two short stints of boat sitting in Townsville aboard a 10m Beneteau monohull. I have also trained on a Bavaria 38 to achieve my RYA Day Skipper.
Although I have no practical sailing knowledge, I'm a positive, cheerful, respectful person who would love more opportunities to sail and learn.
A non-smoker with a gypsy heart, I'm physically fit, easy going, a listener more than a talker, a reader, respectful, occasionally quite funny, a basic cook, and I'm absolutely willing to muck in and help out on board with watches, cleaning, dishes and general chores needed.
I'm enthusiastic and keen to learn plus I'm 100% reliable and know what it is like to share a small space. I can easily enjoy a companionable silence without the necessity to fill the silence. Not a seafood eater. I will eat fish but I don't like to watch them being killed :-( . I love veggies but not a vegetarian. I'm not a big drinker but not a wowser either lol.
All I want is to build up my sailing experience and have a great time learning more. I'd dearly love to see more of the Queensland islands and to venture further afield.
I'd love to be considered for jumping on to help out and to learn more from you.
