I love the smell of salt water in the morning.
I learned to sail over ten years ago. Did some courses and made mile's. By now I have tested my sea legs and proved not to be prone to sea sickness. I fit well in a team, can act as watch leader and have an eye for safety in general. My background as mechanic, enables me to solve problems on the go.
As I'm seeking for new challenges, bluewater experience might be a nice addition to my resume. Looking forward to join as crew.

I hope to have him aboard again
I've had Ruudje on board for a month in Greek waters, and my experience can best be summarized like this: if you'd ever be privileged enough to have the chance to have Ruudje on board, grab it with both hands! I feel confident that in case of some serious problems, he would have stayed level-headed and calm, coming with good suggestions on what to do, and doing the right things without hesitation. I believe he is the least lazy person I've ever had on board. I may think "we're doing some relaxed sailing now for less than an hour, and then we may need the fenders again - no point bothering taking them in", but before I've managed to finish my train of thought he has already stowed away the fenders. I keep thinking "it's really my turn to do the dish wash now", but he somehow always manages to get to the sink faster than me. Just as I'm on the way out on deck with lots of waves and rainy weather to take down a sail, Ruudje says "I can do that" - and the list goes on, whatever should or could be done, Ruudje seems to have the energy to get it done. He's always eager to learn new things, and good at listening - give advanced instructions once only and it will stick. When he was together with Ale-sixter, they were "the dream team" - the skipper could sit back and relax, almost enjoying life as a first class passenger rather than a busy skipper, even getting food served.
