Crew available from New Zealand to Fiji/New Caledonia
Hello everyone,
I'm Pauline, French and 27 years old. Currently in New Zealand with a working holiday visa, I'd like to join New Caledonia or Fiji in June, or even early July. I just have to be in Noumea in mid-July as I'm taking another sailboat at the end of July.
I have some sailing experience (a week's training at Les Glénans in Brittany and a few outings since I was a child on a lake). I don't yet have any experience of long-distance sailing, but I intend to remedy that!
I have, however, had some experience as a passenger on different types of craft in the southern seas, as I was recently lucky enough to work in the French Southern Territories for 17 months. Conditions at sea were therefore sometimes difficult, and I was able to get an insight into many aspects of life as a sailor. Thanks to this experience, I also got used to rustic life in a small community.
I'm highly motivated to help out on board and learn, as it's not just a "simple means of transport" for me, as I'm looking forward to learning more about the field of navigation, which interests me enormously.
