Experienced Volunteer Crew Member Available
Hello, my name is Dylan, and I am passionate about sailing and seamanship. I recently obtained my Merchant Mariner Credential and will be starting a deckhand apprenticeship in June 2025. Until then, I am available to volunteer as crew aboard liveaboard sailboats.
I understand that crewing is not a vacation—I'm prepared to contribute and work hard. I have experience standing watch, steering day and night, cooking in the galley, maintaining and cleaning the vessel (including scraping the hull), and assisting with various tasks to keep the boat running smoothly.
Most recently, I crewed on a sailboat in the Caribbean, gaining hands-on experience in navigation, deck operations, and daily vessel upkeep. I can provide a reference from the captain upon request.
On a side note, I also speak Swedish fluently, so if that ever comes in handy, I’m happy to use it!

1400 miles on ⛵️ Julimar
Dylan sailed with us on 'Julimar' from April to June 2025 . 14 miles in Tunesia, Italy and Greece. Great guy to have in board! Well spirited, responsible and always eager to go the extra mile to make things work out smoothly. We had some excellent hikes and excursions on the way , and also enjoyed his rotational chef skills in the galley. Good sailing skills. No issues to have him helm overnight passages by himself.
