Looking for a Junior Engineer, Deck/Engineer or similar (Mechanic/Deckhand, Deckhand, Stew/Deck, 1st Mate,) position
I'm a candidate from Spain seeking a position on a motor or sailing yacht. As a passionate of the sea, almost Automatic Industrial Engineer, hardworker and team player, I am looking to start in this sector as a junior engineer, deck/engineer or deckhand.
Although I have no previous experience as a crew, I have always had a passion for sailing, from a pleasure boat or paddle surf, either for leisure or for fishing, a hobby I have had since I was a child. In addition, I have had small customer service jobs, as a waiter in Spain or as a store clerk in Edinburgh, as temporarily jobs on holidays.
Of course, my greatest skill would be engineering, because I have studied a BsC in Industrial Engineer, specialized in automation. Moreover, I just have to present my degree final project in June, just before summer, to finish it.
Without a doubt, I think I could be part of a crew that is looking for a multifunctional crew, working as a dechkhand and helping with any unforeseen, maintenance or repair on the boat, always available for the work that is needed.
I am very excited to get started in this world, and despite my lack of experience, I can be very useful for any skipper who needs crew with strength and motivation.
