Seeking a Deckhand, Delivery Crew or Divemaster position
Hi All!
I'm an experienced deckhand and charter boat captain looking for my next opportunity. I am passionate, hardworking reliable and easy to get on with. My experiences varies in both the boats I've worked on and their locations around the world. I have a worked on boats in South Africa, Mozambique and Australia, as well as taking part in a conservation focused dive program in Madagascar.
Having grown up in Cape Town, South Africa, the ocean and boating have always been a big part of my life. My family owned a boat and so many weekends were spent fishing and exploring the incredible coastline Cape Town has to offer. My work on boats started off with fishing charters, catering for around 8-10 guests at a time, which gave me a good introduction and experience in the charter industry. I then moved on to a more upmarket sector of the industry, working on remote island in Far North Queensland, Australia. This lodge focused on giving guests a high end but adventurous experience which included fishing, spearfishing, snorkelling and remote island exploration. Following my time in Australia, I worked as a fishing guide and skipper at a lodge in Mozambique. Here I took guests out on a variety of excursions including fishing charters, birdwatching trips, snorkelling trips and sunset cruises.
I have various certificates and qualifications including STCW, ENG1 medical, level 3 first aid, PADI divemaster, SAMSA Cat B skippers licence and VHF radio licence. I am also confident in performing my duties on the boat as well as interacting with the guests. I am available immediately and am flexible with location.
