Hi, I'm a 29 year-old French man currently based in South of France, and I'm available to join a boat immediately from September 9.
I'm looking for a Deckhand, Deck/Stew or general crew position for at least 2 months, ideally until mid/late November or longer.
I am new to professional yachting and currently have no STCW or maritime qualifications, but I'm physically fit, reliable and very willing to learn.
I have a vocational background in landscaping and I'm used to physical outdoor work, maintenance, tools and working in all conditions.
I'm happy to help with:
deck washing and cleaning
lines, fenders and basic manoeuvres under instruction
exterior maintenance and general upkeep
dishes, galley cleaning and housekeeping
loading supplies and general crew duties
watches and learning basic seamanship
I'm not looking for a holiday. I'm looking for a real onboard experience where I can work hard, stay useful and learn from an experienced crew.
I would preferably like to join a larger sailing yacht, motor yacht or catamaran with a small crew, departing from the South of France, Monaco, Corsica or nearby.
French-speaking crew would be ideal, but I can communicate in English.
