Motivated Deckhand / Competent Crew seeking Mile Building in SE Asia (Langkawi - Phuket - Singapore)
Hi Captains,
I am a dedicated and hard-working crew member currently based in/planning to travel to Malaysia.
My immediate goal is to log the remaining nautical miles required for my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore exam, which I plan to take in Langkawi.
I am looking for mile-building opportunities, yacht deliveries, or coastal passages around Malaysia (Langkawi, Penang, Pangkor), Thailand (Phuket), or Singapore.
Current Experience & Certifications:
• RYA Competent Crew / Dayskipper
• Approx. miles logged: 1200
• Ready to assist with night watches, cooking, maintenance, and heavy weather sailing.
• Physically fit, non-smoker, easy-going, and fully adapted to living in tight spaces.
What I am looking for:
• Passages over 60 nautical miles (including night hours).
• Opportunities to act as watchkeeper or skipper-under-supervision to meet RYA criteria.
I am happy to contribute to food/marina expenses and promise to bring high energy, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude aboard.
