I’m a fit 69yro male who still surfs a short board when I need to humble myself. I’m based in Long Beach, CA, USA, and I plan to escape. I’ve sailed w/ crew in Costa Rica, Hawaii, Johnston Atoll, and more recently crewed with “AdventureMan Dan” three weeks aboard his Beneteau 38 from Bahamas to T&C and the Dominican Republic.
Locally, I’ve coached wanna-be sailors, solo-sailed my Morgan 30 several times to the Channel Islands, and crewed a few coastal deliveries. I’ve never been seasick … yet.
I’ve got three adult kids and a wife that celebrates when I leave town. I’m a pretty fair cook (I lean vegetarian), fixed the diesel a few times, and installed all of my solar/electrical. I’ve got a cheap electric car that’s ten years old. I play music, fly drones, and never write enough. I’ve surfed at night, dove with sharks, and danced with dolphins. I’ve never jumped out of a plane, but I’ve jumped in to a skiff. I once patched my chipped tooth with super glue. And I’ve got a great trick to keep turds from marking the toilet bowl.
