Energetic Beginner Looking to Learn, Cook, and Sail – Ready for July
Hi there! I’m Sam — a motivated, adventurous beginner with a deep love for the ocean, cooking, and meaningful experiences. I’m looking to join a voyage as a Novice Crew or Cook, ideally for 3–4 weeks starting in early July. I’m especially interested in boats heading around the Caribbean, Central America, or nearby tropical regions, but I’m open to any journey that offers good people, learning, and a taste of the sea.
I’ve never sailed before, but I’m a fast learner, very physically fit, and fully prepared to work hard in exchange for food and a bunk. Whether it’s cleaning, cooking, deck work, or odd jobs, I’m more than willing to help wherever I’m needed. I genuinely want to learn the ropes of sailing, and I believe in earning my keep with a positive attitude, hands-on effort, and respect for the crew and vessel.
I have a strong background in cooking, especially seafood dishes, but I enjoy making all types of meals and love working with what’s available. For me, food is a universal language, and I’m always curious to learn new styles, techniques, and cultural recipes wherever I go.
More than anything, I’m drawn to freedom, exploration, and the raw beauty of life at sea. I’ve always been inspired by the idea of a life untethered — traveling, meeting new people, working with my hands, and experiencing places not as a tourist, but as a part of the journey. I don’t mind a tight budget or long days — what matters most to me is the chance to live a real, unforgettable adventure.
I’m outgoing, easy to get along with, and open-minded. I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life and making the most of every moment. I thrive in team environments and believe that shared effort creates the strongest bonds — especially at sea.
