Yachtmaster looking for Delivery Crew or Skipper positions
Hello,
Motivated and experienced sailor looking for passage-making / delivery opportunities, as crew, first-mate or skipper.
Completed my Yachtmaster - Offshore, (commercial endorsement in process).
Last 3 years:
- Courses: day skipper - motor (Channel), day skipper - sail (Spain), and coastal skipper - sail (Gib Strait), Yachmaster prep (England - east coast)
- Charters (AS SKIPPER): Croatia (x 3), Balearics, Holland, Corsica (x 2), Brittany (x 2)
- Crewing: 2024 - English Channel return, French Atlantic coast; 2025 - Irish Sea, Barcelona to Menorca return, Baltic to North Sea, Sardinia to Sicily, Southampton to Brest via Guernsey; 2026 - English south coast, Southampton to Britany via Alderney and Guernsey, Southampton to Vannes FR via Guernsey.
Along with this I sail regularly on the Swiss lakes on a variety of boats - 12ft classic wooden dinghies to cruisers. I have had a few 20ft little cabin cruisers, one on a buoy and latest is a trailer sailor.
The variable mountain winds can be more challenging that you might imagine!!
I hold a Swiss Sailing and Motor boat licence.
Further back I had many enjoyable years of wind/water sports, including paragliding and kite-surfing, along with sailing in NZ, Australia, GB.
As an aircraft maintenance engineer/ service technician I am technically competent, and am improving my technical knowledge of boats alongside my seamanship skills. I have undertaken a marine electrical course.
Physically fit, open to try new things, and social. My other "obsession" is birdwatching. Married with one amazing daughter.
