Looking for a transatlantic crewing opportunity (East to West).
Hello!
I would love to find a Mile building or Competent Crew position, from the Canaries / Cape Verde to the Caribbean (ideally, St. Lucia, Martinique or Guadeloupe, but I am flexible).
I am a fit Canadian sailor with over 4000nm of ocean sailing experience, and one Atlantic crossing (West to East).
Comfortable with night watches (shipping lanes, AIS etc.), sail changes, sail trimming and the usual manoeuvres that are required on a passage. I have owned my own sloop and have done plenty of solo sailing in Canada. I've also charted yachts in in the Med.
You can count on me for any boat jobs, repairs, engine maintenance, deck work, cleaning and cooking, passage planning and provisioning.
Easy going and adaptable, I enjoy getting to know new people, learning new skills, and having a good laugh. I feel I can bring some good energy, flexibility and pro-activity to the team.
Fluent in English, French and Spanish. Basic Italian.
