Offshore crew 4,000+ nm | Looking to keep sailing and exploring | From Colombia
Hi,
I’m Mathilde, a 29-year-old French sailor with a background in engineering and logistics, currently in Colombia after crossing the Atlantic from the Canary Islands.
Over the past three months, I have sailed more than 4,000 nautical miles: Canary Islands → Cape Verde → Martinique → Colombia. I have stood night watches, handled sail trimming, participated in maneuvers, maintenance, cooking, and daily life on board. I’m comfortable with the offshore rhythm and living in a small shared space at sea.
Before this, I lived and worked in Asia for several years, so I’m fluent in English and used to multicultural environments.
What I’m looking for now is simple: to keep sailing, discover new places, and continue learning from different boats and crews. I don’t have a fixed destination. I’m more interested in the journey itself and moving with the wind rather than following a strict plan.
I’m easy-going, reliable, and curious. I naturally take part in all aspects of life on board and adapt easily. I enjoy both the technical side of sailing and the human experience that comes with it.
Currently in Colombia, and open to opportunities anywhere along the way.
Happy to connect and see if it could be a good fit.
