Looking to continue learning before day skipper!
Hi I'm Jake. I completed my RYA Competent Crew in September 2024 in Italy from Procida around the bay of Naples, making our way to Amalfi & Capri too. I'm looking to continue gaining experience prior to taking on the Day Skipper theory & practical.
I work full time so only have the opportunity to do this via annual leave at present, and can often be quite flexible with a few exceptions that I must be at work for. I'm a native English speaker and I'm currently learning Spanish primarily, and learning a little Italian occasionally, both mostly for the joy of it and for travel purposes. I've started travelling more in recent years and usually travel 3-4 times a year and I'd like to spend at least one of those sailing.
I like to collect different skills so I'm usually learning something - I already play the Saxophone to an alright standard and I'm currently learning piano too, as well as learning Spanish and dipping my toe into sailing as much as I can. I'm looking for a local club too to help me keep brushed up on sailing skills throughout the rest of the year when I can't be at sea.
Just in case it's a dealbreaker, worth noting I'm vegetarian too.
