Sailing in May 2026? Easy going competent and qualified crew looking to provide support and have fun
I'm an experienced enthusiastic crew member and skipper. Belonging to one of Canada's leading cruising and training centres I continue to receive rigorous training as well as help to mentor new graduates with hands-on, on the water experience.
I typically sail 500-700 nm every year on 30-45 foot (9-12.2m) monohuls. I particularly love to sail in heavier more challenging conditions. Luckily to-date I have not experienced any sea sickness. I have limited night sailing experience but have skippered a sailboat at night between Antigua and Sint Maarten.
Along with a very good sailing friend, who received similar training, we are looking to team up with an experienced skipper to crew a sailboat either in Europe or in the Caribbean. We will do our best to ensure the proper functioning of the sailboat while prioritizing safety. We will assist the skipper to make our mutual adventures fun and memorable. We are each married with wonderful wives and children. Suffice it to say that we're both responsible, mature sailors. We're also drug free and social drinkers.
We're both Canadians. I've received the following Canadian Certifications:
CANSail 1 & 2
CANSail 3 & 4
Sail Canada Basic Cruising Standard
Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising Standard
Sail Canada Intensive Basic Coastal Navigation
VHF Radio Restricted Operator’s Certification
Toronto Port Authority Operator's License
