Ocean lover, Freediver & Deck Crew — Carpentry, maintenance and creative projects
I am Gerard.
A world traveler from the Basque Country. I’ve spent over 25 years moving between countries, working on environmental, cultural, artistic and construction projects.
My sea experience includes a full summer sailing on two classic wooden schooners, where I worked in boat carpentry, deck operations, and general maintenance.
I also have experience in:
Cooking and kitchen work
Construction and natural building
Photography and project documentation
Permaculture and environmental projects
Art and multidisciplinary creative initiatives
Above all, I love the ocean, adventure and meeting new people.
I’m a confident freediver, always focused on safety and calm at sea, and my happiest place is in the water exploring the world below the surface.
I’m looking for a role as Competent Crew or Deckhand, where I can be useful, keep learning, and share the sea with good energy and new friends along the way.
