Hi, I’m Ed. After a lifetime of owning and maintaining my own vessels—including a Bristol 41.1 and a Bruce Roberts 38—I’m looking to transition from Captain to Competent Crew. I bring 12,000nm of offshore experience (Trans-Atlantic, Caribbean, USA, SE Asia) and the "boat sense" that only comes from years of liveaboard life.
I am a dual UK/AUS citizen, fully self-funded, and happy to contribute to onboard costs. Professionally, I’m a Hydrographic Surveyor (offshore since '88), meaning I’m technically minded, calm under pressure, and handy with systems. I’m a positive, easy-going presence on board who knows when to be serious and how to keep a boat running smoothly.
