Licensed skipper (Croatian Category C) looking for offshore miles as crew
I'm Emil, 46, based in Frankfurt, German with Croatian roots. I have been sailing the Adriatic since 2019, mostly as skipper for family and friends, and in 2025 completed a three week professional course at the Croatia Sailing Academy, earning the Croatian Category C licence (Voditelj brodice kategorije C).
What I'm looking for now is offshore experience: longer passages, night watches, open water. My goal is to build towards ocean crossings and an offshore qualification, and I'd rather learn that on a well run boat with an experienced skipper than on my own.
What I bring on board:
- Skipper experience: passage planning, anchoring, mooring in busy Croatian marinas
- Calm under pressure; I have spent my career managing complex projects and teams internationally
- Happy to stand watches, cook, clean and do maintenance. No task too small.
- Reliable, easy going, good in small spaces with other people
- Non smoker
Languages: German, English, Croatian (all fluent). Useful for Croatian port authorities, marinas and local suppliers.
