Looking for a Competent Crew, Mile building, Voluntary work or (Amateur) Regatta crew position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm looking to get some more miles in, and to learn more from experienced skippers in a general way. I'd also love to join amateur regatta's, as long as the pressure to win isn't too high :) I'd describe myself as a semi competent crew member; I did the ISPA level CC license, but definitely need (a lot) more practice. However, I can pull a rope when you point to it and I'm a decent cook.
I really want to learn more about boat life and everything involved with it; docking best practices, navigation, maintenance, unspoken rules, and cool knots.
Happy to contribute to costs.
I like to divide my time between being social (cardgame anyone?) and me-time while reading a book.
Atm, looking mainly to October/November around the Mediterranean and Balearic islands but open to a lot (if it's announced in advance – I do need to plan). I would prefer a setup with a small crew and I'm not looking for any romantic 1:1 getaways.
PS. I work remotely, so if your boat is setup with starlink and you don't mind me working some hours of the day, I could potentially hang out quite a while.
