Looking for a Deckhand or Fitness Trainer position
Hi there, I hope you are well.
I hope you are having a great week.
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Deckhand position. I am currently based in Antibes, available to start immediately, and hold a valid Schengen visa. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker with no tattoos, and I have recently completed my Yacht Rating, Small Powerboat and RIB Master courses alongside several successful daywork stints on vessels ranging from 30m to 77m.
Growing up with a passion for watersports like wakeboarding and surfing, being active and outdoors is where I thrive. This energy translates directly into my work ethic; my recent experience with the White Desert build team in Antarctica involved 16-hour days of carpentry, insulation, and flooring in sub-zero temperatures. Prior to that, I balanced four years of semi-professional rugby with an Honours degree in Sports Physiology. These environments taught me the value of discipline, showing up consistently, and operating at a high level without excuses.
As a certified Personal Trainer with experience coaching diverse groups, including children with disabilities, I pride myself on being a versatile crew member who adapts quickly to the needs of both guests and the team. I was also very interested to read about your focus on maritime mental health; with my background in physiology and psychology, I share your commitment to professional well-being within the industry.
I will work harder than anyone else to prove my worth on board. I want to excel in this industry, produce nothing but the highest quality of work, and create an unbelievable guest experience. I just kindly ask that you give me the chance to prove myself.
CV attached. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Warm regards,
