Looking for a Deckhand position
My lifelong passion for the sea, combined with extensive hands-on experience and a strong work ethic, allows me to contribute effectively to both guest service and vessel maintenance.
Having worked with international clients throughout my career and traveled across 38 countries, I am comfortable in multicultural environments and understand the importance of professionalism, discretion, and teamwork. I speak Spanish, English, and Italian, and I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds.
I have a practical, problem-solving mindset and extensive experience using both hand and power tools. My skills include fiberglass and wood repairs, masonry, general maintenance, and basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems, and plumbing. I have always enjoyed fixing and building things myself, from maintaining my own car, bathroom, and house to building a wooden boat equipped with a mechanical propulsion system.
I learn quickly, stay active, and enjoy taking on new challenges. I believe in learning from those with more experience, respecting the chain of command, and being a supportive and dependable teammate. I am dynamic, resourceful, and always willing to go the extra mile.
Beyond my technical abilities, I bring a wide range of experiences and interests. I am a certified PADI Divemaster, ski instructor, fisherman, home brewer, and musician, playing bass and guitar in bands throughout my life. I am also the author of the book Borrowed Hats, a reflection of my curiosity and appreciation for different perspectives.
I hold the Spanish PER (Pleasure Boat Skipper License) and STCW certifications. My greatest dream is to continue building a life at sea and eventually sail around the world. I am highly motivated to become part of a professional crew where I can contribute, continue learning, and grow within the yachting industry.
