Looking for a Novice Crew position
My name’s Dan. I’ve been keeping an eye out for opportunities to enjoy the Ocean from above. I’ve spent a lot of time at sea, usually exploring the sea bed. I’ve spent many years exploring the ocean floor on decompression dives, exploring ship wrecks, parts of history that is usually unseen. With a young family, we decided that maybe exploring the depths of the ocean should be postponed. Hanging up my fins, for something more safe.
That being said, I still have a passion for exploration.
I’m a 37 year old electrician. I have a passion for life out on the open water. I’m also in a fortunate position, in which my family understands my passion for the ocean. I now feel learning to sail is my venture.
In honesty, I’ve minimal understanding of the routes into the world of sailing. I’ve applied for RYA courses at our local club and done as much research as practicably possible. In my trade experience, nothing quite compares to practical experience. It’s something I’d like to gain in the world of sailing.
This opportunity I’d imagine requires commitment. My commitment would be to travel, listen, learn and devote my undivided attention.
In a previous note, I mentioned I’m a family man. I am. As an installation Electrician I spend my career travelling the country. I do for work, I did with my under water exploration. Travelling isn’t a problem for me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Warmest of Regards,
Dan.
