Motivated beginner looking for offshore experience !
Hi!
I’m Roch, a 26 year-old French graduate with a passion for expeditions, challenging environments, and learning new skills.
Although I’m new to sailing, I’m not new to adventure.
I spent six months in the Amazon rainforest working on an independent documentary project, living in remote conditions and adapting to the unexpected every day.
Earlier this year, I also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro as part of a charity expedition.
These experiences strengthened my resilience, adaptability, teamwork, and ability to stay calm when conditions become challenging.
I’m physically fit, enjoy endurance sports and multi-day trekking, and I’m always happiest when I’m learning something new in demanding environments.
Sailing has become my next goal, and I’m looking for my first opportunity to learn from an experienced crew.
I know that being a good crew member is about much more than sailing skills. I’m happy to stand night watches, cook, clean, help with maintenance, and contribute fully to life on board. I’m reliable, easy to live with, eager to learn, and ready to work hard.
I speak French and English and I’m flexible regarding destinations and departure dates. Whether it’s a weekend passage, a delivery, coastal cruising, or eventually an Atlantic crossing, my priority is to gain experience, contribute to the crew, and become a competent offshore sailor.
If you’re looking for someone motivated, dependable, and genuinely excited to be part of the adventure, I’d be delighted to join your crew.
Fair winds!
Roch :)
