Enthusiastic, multi-lingual crew ready to learn – Available mid-Oct to Jan!
Hi, I'm Ben, 24, based in Belgium and looking for offshore crewing from mid-October onwards. My schedule is completely open and I'm available until at least the end of January. A transatlantic crossing is what I'm aiming for, but I'm interested in any serious passage heading that way.
My sailing so far:
-Two-week intensive Glénans course in Paimpol, Brittany
-Two-week training course in Greece, before I set off
-A week cruising in Croatia, plus catamaran sailing as a child
-French coastal motorboat licence
I'll be straight with you: I don't have offshore miles yet, and that's precisely what I'm looking to build. What I bring instead is a genuinely useful pair of hands. I'll stand night watches, cook, clean, help with maintenance and do whatever the boat needs without being asked twice. I'm easy to live with in a small space, and I'm fluent in English, French and Dutch, which tends to smooth things out on an international crew.
Happy to contribute to running costs.
If you think I might fit, I'd love to hear about your boat and your plans.
Ben
