Looking for a Captain, Delivery Crew or Lead Deckhand position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Captain, Delivery Crew or Lead Deckhand. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people! I am currently pursuing my 100 ton liscense and plan on obtaining it by late September 2026- early November 2026. I will then be qualified to upgrade to the 200 ton.
I have extensive experience as first mate, aboard a 35 meter Ocean Alexander with over 10 crossings from Tampa Fl, to the Bahamas, as well as New England charter experience.I commanded a 36 foot Boston whaler with triple 400 hp mercurys behind it through out the exumas, as well as the New England waters from Massachusetts to Maine. My responsibilities included: plotting routes depending on tides and weather, night navigation, piloting the yacht through uncharted waters and communicating effectively through VHF with marinas, bridges, and my captain. I executed safe and successful towing operations, and ensured safety of passengers, as well as kept up with daily upkeep and maintenance on the engines.
I have night watch experience and have executed watch schedules, completing hourly bridge log entries, engine room checks, and running log entries. I led the deck team, scheduling tasks, as well as keeping up with inventory. I hired and led necessary help, ensured docking procedures were successful as well as anchor procedures.
