Looking for a Captain/Stew couple's position or solo work on a MY
I am an aspiring Super Yacht captain currently studying at the faculty of Maritime in Slovenia. Beside maritime qualification I also posses a Private Pilot Licence since flying is something I love deeply and would love to continue training for a Commercial licence. So if you also own a plane, maybe I could fill that positiona as well but mainly I am looking for new challenges onboard Motor Yachts be it as a Skipper/Captain or a deckhand. I have an international passport and currently arranging a Visa for the US. I'm extremely flexible and will work hard, If I don't know something I'll learn :)
Although I may come out as “young” let me assure you that I have had in my years as a skipper extended experience, complemented with thorough qualifications in different fields that most of all complete me not just as someone “who knows how to steer a boat” but has also developed emotional intelligence and character that combined with my aspirations to always give 120% completes an experience that I think everyone expects from their captain.
As for my seaman's skills they go back to when I was a little boy and started early on developing a passion for the endless blue horizon, boats, and the immense experience that only the wind and salty water can give you. I have been an early and energetic self-learner that started investing time by myself to learn the necessary skills to become a skipper. This may have extended my learning curve, but it sure has deepened the quality of the lessons learned. Those, sometimes hard-learned, lessons have come to life in my work as a skipper later on in my history of working in sales and dealing with demanding customers & partners is apart from my skipper skills also a certain added value. I am aware that the maritime industry requires significant effort to manage people, which is my field of a full-time job. My work ethics are supplemented also with my aspirations and a constant need to improve.
