31yo Swedish Beginner Looking for a Sailing Adventure
Hi! I’m a 31-year-old guy from Gothenburg, Sweden, looking for an opportunity to join a sailing crew and experience life at sea.
I’m completely new to sailing, but very keen to learn and happy to get stuck in with whatever needs doing. I’m responsible, easy-going and used to working as part of a team. I’m also physically active and enjoy being outdoors, travelling and trying things that are outside my normal routine.
I’m married, but I’m deliberately taking this adventure on my own. I’ve reached a point in life where I want to step outside my usual routines, explore the world independently, challenge myself and figure out what makes me feel truly alive. My wife is supportive of me doing this as my own adventure.
I’m particularly interested in spending a few weeks sailing somewhere warm, ideally the Caribbean or Mediterranean, around April–June 2027. I’d love to join an international, English-speaking crew and actually become part of the team rather than just be a passenger.
I’m not looking for a luxury holiday. I’m looking for an adventure — to learn something completely new, meet interesting people, experience life at sea and hopefully come away with some genuine sailing experience and good stories.
I’m happy to contribute to shared expenses and to help with cooking, cleaning, watches, maintenance or whatever else is needed onboard.
