Final-Year Medical Student Seeking Sailing / Expedition Crew Position

Hi! I’m Ronaldo, a 27-year-old final-year medical student from Brazil, graduating in late 2026. I’m looking for opportunities aboard sailing yachts and small expedition vessels, particularly ocean passages, remote destinations and longer sailing expeditions.
My goal is to become an active member of the crew rather than simply travel as a passenger. I’m happy to learn and contribute with watches, helm, sail handling, navigation, cooking, maintenance and general onboard duties. At the same time, my medical background can be useful for first aid, medical preparedness, emergency response and supporting the crew’s health within the appropriate limits of my training.
My clinical experience includes emergency and pre-hospital exposure, internal medicine, oncology and other hospital rotations. I’m particularly interested in expedition, wilderness and maritime medicine, and I’m now looking to build genuine offshore sailing experience and sea miles.
I’m fluent in Portuguese and English, physically active, comfortable with international travel and remote environments, and accustomed to working in demanding teams. I’ve also participated in international medical and research experiences and have previous experience travelling in remote environments including the Amazon, Patagonia and Atacama.
I’m especially interested in Atlantic or other ocean crossings, scientific or exploration expeditions, remote-island routes, polar/high-latitude sailing and opportunities where a medically trained crew member would be valuable.
I’m open to novice crew, mile-building, voluntary expedition crew and combined medical-support/crew roles. Happy to speak by video call and discuss any upcoming passage or project.
