⛵ RYA Competent Crew looking for sailing opportunities
62-year-old, young at heart, enthusiastic beginner looking to gain practical sailing experience after completing a 5-day RYA Competent Crew course in June 2026.
I am looking for day sails, weekends or short cruises, preferably on cruising yachts rather than racing boats.
What I can offer
⚓ Basic mooring and casting-off skills
⛵ Sail handling under the skipper's guidance
? Basic sailing knots
? Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment
? A cooperative, reliable and willing-to-learn attitude
I am happy to help with cooking, cleaning, general boat duties and contribute to food expenses.
I am still a beginner, so I am looking for a patient skipper who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping someone build confidence and experience on board.
In return, you get an enthusiastic, reliable crew member who is genuinely keen to learn and lend a hand.
Based in Lombardy, Northern Italy, but happy to travel for the right opportunity. Mainly available at weekends.
