Looking for a Boat sitter, Competent Crew, Racing crew or Manager position
I'm a practical, safety-minded boat sitter who is comfortable living aboard and keeping a vessel in good order: checking lines, bilges and batteries, ventilating, and reporting issues early. I own and maintain my own Laser dinghy and carry out my own repairs.
I have around 4,000 sea miles and have recently crewed on 35-40ft racing boats from Brighton Marina. I also regularly assist my sailing club at sea in a 60hp RIB. I'm available as crew for passages, races or delivery trips.
I hold an International Certificate of Competence (Coastal and Inland Waters), a recent RYA Powerboat Level 2, an RYA First Aid certificate and two Wilderness First Aid certificates. I have 35 years' experience as an outdoor adventure instructor, including writing risk assessments.
I'm Dutch, hold UK ILR, and my DBS and financial checks were approved in April 2026. I don't smoke, drink only occasionally, and keep a quiet, routine-based lifestyle. References and a CV are available on request.
