Day Skipper looking to crew in Caribbean mid - late November
Hi, I’m Declan, 27 from Manchester, UK. Currently cycling across the US, looking to join a cruising yacht in the Caribbean when I finish around mid - late November 2026.
RYA Day Skipper qualified, with offshore experience including a North Sea passage. Comfortable standing watches and keen to learn from an experienced skipper. Happy to contribute with cooking, cleaning, maintenance and general boat duties, and willing to crew unpaid in exchange for the experience and opportunity to build miles.
Ideally looking for a boat heading into the Caribbean for the winter season, with the possibility of staying aboard for several months if all goes well.
Particularly interested in smaller cruising yachts/catamarans rather than charter or professional crew work.
I’m a software developer by trade so can probably help with anything computer based, I have some experience fixing bikes but keen to learn boat maintenance/ repair.
