26yo French beginner crew – Coastal licence – Looking to learn sailing in the Caribbean
Hi! I’m 26 years old, French and originally from Corsica, and I’m currently living in Montreal, Canada.
I have a French coastal boating licence and some experience at sea, including trips on boats in Corsica, sailing in Brittany, and excursions on a double catamaran on the French Riviera. I’m still a beginner when it comes to sailing, but I’m very interested in learning more about navigation, boat handling, sailing techniques and life on board.
I’m looking for a crew opportunity for around 4 to 6 weeks in January or February 2027, ideally in the Caribbean. I would love to be part of a real crew, participate in manoeuvres, watches, cooking and everyday tasks, and learn as much as possible from experienced sailors.
I’m an active and sporty person. I enjoy hiking, swimming, diving, photography, nature and outdoor activities. I also love travelling and discovering new cultures and ways of life.
I’m easy-going, curious, motivated and happy to help on board. I’m not looking for a luxury cruise, but for a genuine sailing experience where I can learn new skills, meet people, explore different islands and enjoy a simpler way of life at sea.
I’m open to monohulls, catamarans or other sailing boats, and happy to share reasonable onboard expenses.
