French adventurer looking for a sailing crew! ⛵ Europe → Canaries / Cape Verde / Caribbean
I'm Lucas, 27, from France, always smiling, curious, easy-going and ready for a new adventure!
After a few years of the classic work-eat-sleep routine, I've decided to swap my everyday life for a backpack and discover the world. My dream is to travel all the way to Mexico without taking a plane, meeting amazing people and enjoying the journey as much as the destination. ?
What am I looking for?
I'm looking for a sailing opportunity from Europe towards the Canary Islands, Cape Verde or the Caribbean, starting from November 2026.
I'm also totally open to doing the journey in several stages, joining different boats along the way. No rush, no fixed schedule, just a big desire to explore and learn!
What can I bring on board?
I'm still a beginner, but I had my first taste of sailing during a one-week trip in the Adriatic Sea, where I learned the basics of watches, sail handling, manoeuvres and knots.
I know I still have a lot to learn, but I'm motivated, happy to get my hands dirty and always willing to help. Whether it's sailing, cooking, cleaning, keeping watch or helping with maintenance, I'm in!
I'm also happy to contribute fairly to shared expenses.
And what about life on board?
For me, sailing isn't just about getting from A to B. It's about sharing experiences, learning from each other, discovering beautiful places and enjoying the simple things in life.
I love nature, good conversations, spontaneous adventures and meeting people from different backgrounds. I'm easy to live with, respectful, optimistic and always up for a good laugh.
I understand that life at sea also means responsibilities, teamwork, patience and sometimes challenging conditions.
More than just finding a boat, I'd love to find a crew with whom I can share a memorable adventure!
